Most of us can visualise the way we’d like to live as we progress through our lives. Maybe we see a more prestigious home or a stylish vehicle in our mind’s eye. Most of us see changes to our appearance; a trimmer physique and a transformed wardrobe.

Dreaming of these things tells us what we’d love to have in the next few years – which is a good way to fire up a goal plan. Without these ideas, we’re not likely to put anything into practice.

And yet before we can have the things we want, some changes must be made. “The definition of insanity is to do the same thing over and over and expect different results.” In the words of Einstein. So, we’ll just keep going round and round in circles not moving on if we keep doing the same as we’ve always done!

To make great progress in what we have, we need to make great changes not only to the way we do things, but more importantly to the way we think. Knowing that there’s going to be a deal of exertion to do to get the things we want to have isn’t a great revelation. It’s a basic law of life that we have to give in order to receive. But the rewards we want won’t just turn up purely from doing the work.

To realise the things we want in our lives, we have to behave in a manner that suggests our goals are a done deal! That means if our goal is to reduce our weight by thirty pounds in the next year, we have to become a diligent diet student and stick to a certain amount of work-out time every week.

Hanging out with friends comes after the work-out’s been completed. The achiever is happy there’ll be plenty more social time down the road (and more admiring glances!) if they put the effort in first. A healthy attitude to dieting makes the slimming process easier, and brings results much faster.

Victory won’t come looking for us. Developing the mindset of an achiever is a powerful weapon against the knocks, criticisms and doubts that will inevitably come our way.

We can connect with positive achievers by watching films and reading biographies of others who’ve overcome challenges on their path to success. Almost all the stories tell the same tale. The winner visualised being a winner from the beginning and internalised the process. By focusing on becoming who we need to be, we’ll enjoy the exertions we have to do more and receive the things we want to have so much faster.

Weight Management Uncovered – Lose 20 Pounds Easily

It started when I sat down with my wife Katie and we began to search for answers to our weight problems. We first identified what each of us hoped to gain and why being slimmer would give us that. We were surprised to realise that our goals were fairly simple. For Katie, it was all about the kids – being able to get in and play with them. She also wanted to lose the embarrassment she felt being in her bathing suit.

As for me, I wanted to be able to walk into a High St store and have the choice of all the guy’s outfits, not just the few boring ones for fat folks! I also had a strong desire to get to the top of the stairs in our home (three floors) and not be out of breath!

We did our research, and found that as well as considering how we look, we also have to consider how we feel about ourselves. Those of us who are obese tend to have a very low self-image. It’s a popular assumption that reducing weight will make everything in life good again. Katie and I can really relate to this, and thought you might appreciate our take on things.

Over time scientists have discovered that our sub conscious mind stores information, but can’t decipher whether that information is actually ‘real’. It therefore ‘programs’ the conscious element of our brain with anything that occupies it. Process that thought repeatedly, it emerges as its prevailing concept and thus it’s actual truth.

Just how long have we been re-affirming the concept of how fat we are? And so we should re-program our sub conscious with all the things we do want, not all the things we don’t want.

We should also make the rewards of being a lighter person our focal point – and not the effort it takes to get there. Firstly, we compiled a list of activities and such like that being too heavy made very difficult: They were things such as having fun, dancing, walks on the beach, more confidence, better sex, sports activities etc.

Next we conjured up visions of ourselves on vacation, looking fantastic in our new summer gear. Everyone approved of our good looks. Everything was fantastic!

Subsequently we’re both well on our way to our target weights – not stick thin, but happy! We look at each other every day now and smile – you will too when you see how far you’ve come.

Have you noticed that it’s almost impossible for a week to go by without the press or TV hitting us with shock horror stories about obesity? But when we try to lose weight, we just seem to hit one stumbling block after another. Therefore, you deserve to know something that most people won’t tell you.

You’re Not To Blame For Being Fat! Let’s begin by qualifying that: That doesn’t mean we’re saying you can’t do something about it. What we’re actually claiming is you’ve either been misinformed or uninformed!

We’d like to break that depressing chain of misinformation. We would just like to help you discover a zest for life that you may have thought would never return.

There are a whole mass of explanations about why we’re so big – and the finger’s not always pointing to ourselves. The good thing is we can do something about it – we can re-educate ourselves and be guided by factually accurate systems that are both enjoyable and sustainable. Life doesn’t have to be such a struggle.

Imagine this happening: a car repairer is given a complete set of BMW tools to work on a Ford car. They’re entirely the wrong set of tools for the job. They’re not equipped for the job at all.

The mechanic can’t possibly fulfil his task with the wrong set of tools. Clearly it’s necessary to always have the specific tools that suit the task. Despite the fact that he’ll have a good idea of what he should be doing, with the wrong set of tools he’ll just be disappointed. This may seem a very simple analogy, but it’s directly related to our weight loss situation. So our aim here is to proffer a set of tools that will work as instruments of weight reduction.

In reality, we’re a diverse bunch of people. That is what makes living interesting. Some things work for some people but don’t work for others. A selection of systems and tools will give you the choice to find one that ‘fits’ you.

We can have different feelings towards dieting at different times of the day or week. Usually when we’re occupied with other things, dieting is easier than when we’re doing nothing. So our daily habits play a key role in successful weight loss. It’s very apparent that being bored doesn’t help. We need to get to grips with new and simple ways of eating that will smoothly transition us into positive, on-going habits. The unique programs we’ve uncovered are the perfect tools for the job.

Credit Repair The DIY Way

Negative remarks on your credit report can cost you serious money. You do not have to despair though, since it is never too late to make yourself credit worthy again. However, always remember that credit repair does not happen overnight. It requires serious dedication and perseverance to start a clean slate again.

How to Get Started: You should know who the three credit bureaux are and what they have to say about you. Since creditors do not have to send a report to Equifax, TransUnion and Experian all together, they generally just report to one or to those to which they are subscribed. This means that the reports from the bureaux are often slightly different from one another.

The first thing you ought to do is to order your credit report. Remember to order it from each bureau because you would only waste your time and money if you only order a credit report from one bureau. The cost of the credit report may vary from state to state though it is estimated that the cost of your credit report is about $10.

However, you are entitled to a free copy of your credit report from the agency, if you have been denied employment or credit due to a bad credit report. You must ask the company to send the name of the credit bureau, telephone number and address.

Once you get your hands on your credit report, examine it carefully, since the credit bureaus create your credit report based on the information they receive from your creditors, which is never checked. It is your job to ensure your credit report is a good reflection of your financial status.

Be on the look out for errors of typing, incomplete information, and out-dated or / and inaccurate histories of your accounts. After examining the report to make sure it is correct, list all the points you want to dispute and the reasons why.

Since bad reports cost you money, remember to be thorough. You have two choices: either fill in the dispute form supplied with your credit report or write a letter. It is also recommended to send a photocopy of your report with the errors circled to the credit bureau who supplied the report. Furthermore, do not neglect to include supporting documents with your report.

Before sending the documents and report, do not forget to make copies of all the forms and the date you sent it. Normally, the bureau will investigate the dispute over the thirty days after receiving your letter. Then, any item that has been proved to be false is removed.

Stability in Your Credit Life: Another way to repair your credit is to prove that you are working at adding positive information and stability to your credit life. Even if you have the credit rating, there can still come a time when you are denied credit due to insufficient credit information.

There are a minority creditors that do not normally report transactions to the credit bureaus, so what you can do is try asking these creditors to report their information about your account and the history of your monthly repayments to the credit-reporting agency or agencies.

You can also try building a solid credit history through the use of secured credit cards. This kind of credit cards is offered to those with no credit status or who are in the middle of repairing their credit.

Additionally, it is advised that you open a savings account at your bank. Doing this, might convince your creditors that you are attempting to put money aside regularly and that you are reserving that money for the purposes of paying off your debts and repair credit.

Slimming Revealed – Tips To Lose 30 Pounds

Did you know there’s a strong correlation between our habits, and who we spend time with? Researchers tell us that if we are regularly around someone, we start to become like them. This is usually thought to reflect in people’s opinions and attitudes; having a mutual regard for certain things, like the law or education for example.

It’s now becoming apparent as well that this common theme might extend to weight. We will eat more when in the company of good friends who eat more. A small study undertaken in America found that overweight kids and teenagers ate more when they were eating with a friend who was also overweight, than when they ate with a normal weight child.

It appeared in fact that everyone in the study got through more food when with friends than with strangers. But it was when the heavier friends teamed up that the most calories were consumed. The research was featured in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition. It illustrated the part friends play in the actions of each other.

Frankly, having more relaxed habits when with friends is not a big surprise. Adults would no doubt have demonstrated the same characteristics. It’s possible however that in addition, we assume friends will give their consent. We’re inclined to unconsciously monitor our behaviour in relation to their reaction to it.

The researchers observed a whole mix of young people for this study. They were split into groups of two friends, or groups of two strangers. All were furnished with nibbles, fruit and vegetables. They also had various games to keep them occupied.

With each of the pairs, the ones who knew each other before the experiment got through more food than the ones who didn’t. However, the heavier friends tucked away the most. And the differences were quite significant.

An average of seven hundred and thirty eight calories was eaten by overweight teens who paired with a friend. But the overweight youngsters with slimmer friends ate nearly three hundred calories less. The slimmer ones ate a fairly stable five hundred calories whatever the size of their friends. This ties in with the commonly held view that in early teens many kids’ decisions to smoke or drink alcohol are strongly influenced by what their friends do.

A child’s social network then is significant in determining their eating habits. What this means is kids can be influenced to eat less as well as more. Hence the necessity to educate the young.
